Barclaycard Predict Business Travel Growth
The Barclaycard Travel Survey has revealed that global business travel will continue to increase until 2015.

The Apprentice Starts Tonight at 9pm BBC2
The series features fourteen would-be fat cats who cosy up to mega-mogul Sir Alan Sugar. The last one standing gets a £100K job. They don't get much time to impress, as the first person will get FIRED tonight. Comments from Alan Sugar regarding women using their 'assets' to get ahead in business caused the BBC to interview a businesswoman this morning.

Barclays Announce Record Profits
Barclays Bank has unveiled record full-year profits of £5.28bn ($9.2bn), buoyed by businesses outside of the UK.
Although they suffered a 19% drop in proficts from their Barclaycard Credit-Card part of the business. It expects the consumer credit problems to flatten out as the year progresses.

I am not sure if this will stop me using the firefox browseer at all, but I have been using the desktop search tool to find old emails quickly. This has been quite invaluable while working, the search saves me a lot of time hunting through my old email archives in outlook!

Will CNP Fraud Escalate?
With today being the Chip & Pin deadline, many fear that this will lead to a sharp increase in card not present (CNP) fraud. This is of course due to the fact that you cannot at this time use PIN security online. In the CNP scenario the company is liable, not the bank, so this could cause problems for many businesses. In the retail environment where Chip & Pin is used the banks would be liable.

New Abbey Credit Card Operation
Abbey National have announced that they will start their own credit card operation. They currently use MBNA, but will start to build on new owners Santander's efficient in-house operation. The new system is due to be launched March 2007.
